The next arrival at Altina Wildlife Park

Jun 15, 2023

Altina Wildlife Park are very excited to announce their very first baby Ring-tailed Lemur! Ring-tailed Lemurs are mostly distinguished by their long, black and white ringed tails. Altina is one of the few privately own zoos to exhibit this remarkable endangered species and are proud to be a member of the Australasian breeding program.

In December 2015 Altina acquired two females, “Allina” & “Ipollo” with both girls settled in immediately. Then in July 2016 “Stan” our very own “King Julian” arrived from Australia Zoo. And in early 2017 “Ipollo” left the Altina family to head to Hunter Valley Zoo to start her very own family, this left Altina with the very much in love, breeding pair.

It did not take long for Stan to show Allina how he likes to "Move it, move it!" in fact only 3 days to be exact with Altina now boasting the safe arrival of their baby Ring-Tailed Lemur.

First time mum Allina and her baby are doing extremely well.

The Lemur family are on display now and can be seen by booking a tour.

Bookings are essential.
